University of Johannesburg Study Abroad – Programs – International
Cornell Law School/UJ Social Justice Programme
In 2013/2014 UJ ran the Cornell Law School/University of Johannesburg Social Justice programme from 28 December to 17 January 2014. The programme consisted of five students, one academic, one professor (observer) accompanied by his spouse, and an administrator from Cornel. The first week was used for cultural activities, the second week was used for classroom lectures delivered by Dr Elmin du Plessis from the Faculty of Law (UJ) and the last week participants took a social engagement trip to Limpopo, Mogalakwena.
Delegates from Cornell Law School, Institute of African Development Faculty, visited the University of Johannesburg to attend a Winter School. This took place from the 30th December 2014 until 18th Janury 2015. The class covered various aspects of Law which was followed by a week of community engagement in Limpopo.
